A team of Nurses from the Footprints Foundation conducted a two day workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation with Registered Nurses of the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) and the Bustamante Hospital for Children on April 16 & 17, 2015 at UHWI. The team was led by Ms. Lorna Owens, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Footprints Foundation, a Florida based organization a leader in reducing maternal and infant mortality. The skills gained from the workshop will assist the participants in improving their care of neonates. This is another step in assisting Jamaica to achieve the Millennium Development Goals of Improvement in Infant and Maternal Health and aid in the Reduction in Infant and Maternal Mortality.
The UHWI would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Owens and Footprints Foundation for hosting this wonderful event and we look forward to working with the Foundation in future endeavours.
